About Dr. Dipty Acharya
Dr. Dipty Acharya attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA and graduated in May of 2009 with her degree as a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Acharya has always been interested in Binocular Vision treatment, as well as Vision Therapy, and has been practicing in Binocular Vision since her graduation. She is in good standing as a member of OEP (Optometric Extension Program) and VTC (Vision Therapy Canada), formerly known as COVT&R (Canadian Optometrists in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation). She is also working towards achieving her FCOVD (Fellow of the
College of Optometrists in Vision Development). Dr. Acharya has continued her education since her graduation in 2009, completing courses in Syntonics, a course on Van Orden Stars, and OEP’s core curriculum including Arts & Science, Visual Dysfunctions, Learning-Related Vision Problems, and Strabismus and Amblyopia). She continues to attend annual vision therapy conferences, with plans to stay up to date as new courses pertaining to Vision Therapy become available. She is an active member of OAO (Ontario Association of Optometrists) and CAO (Canadian Association of Optometrists).
Dr. Acharya is a loving mother of two and presently lives in Guelph. She is extremely compassionate and is one of the first people to lend assistance to those in need. She is deeply devoted to her patients and always gives each patient as much time as necessary to ensure they are completely aware and able to totally understand any questions or concerns they have regarding their eye exams.
