About Dr. Mark Mallett
Dr. Mark Mallett joined our practice as an associate on April 8, 2002. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he received his Bachelor of Science degree (1990), Honours in Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees (1994). While attending U of W, Dr. Mallett participated in research studies in the fields of macular degeneration, glaucoma and anatomical structures of the eye.
Dr. Mallett received his designation as a prescriber of topical therapeutic agents from Pacific University College of Optometry, Forest Grove, Oregon, USA(1997). He began practicing optometry in Regina in July 1994 where he was a partner at CityView Optometry. While in Saskatchewan, Dr. Mallett was a member of the Council of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists where he also served as Assistant Registrar and Director of Member Services. In addition, Dr. Mallett served as chairperson for the Sports Vision, Practice Enhancement and Economics committees.
Since returning to Ontario, Dr. Mallett has coached in both the Waterloo Minor Baseball and Waterloo Minor Hockey Associations and is a long-standing season ticket holder and supporter of the Kitchener Rangers.
